- Consultation Meeting on Sensing, Monitoring and Control - boosting innovation and growth in "Lead Markets"

Lead markets are about stimulating emerging high tech markets in europe in order to actively exploit innovative technologies resulting from European research activities. The idea is to remove barriers for entry for European companies to play a leading role in specific areas of the economy. Examples of barriers could be burdensome regulation or failures in policy or legislation. The purpose of the meeting is to gather information to help us to see whether or to what extent Sensing Monitoring and Control fits in the notion of a lead market.
