There are two train stations (Lille Europe and Lille Flandres), both located in the city center and 5 minutes walking distance from one another;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><!-- wp:list -->\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul><!-- wp:list-item --><\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\n<p>Lille airport (Lesquin) is rather small and will most likely be an option only if you travel from France or from a major european city. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lille.aeroport.fr\/getting-to-the-airport\/shuttle\/\">Buses<\/a> connect the aiport to the city center;<\/li>\n<li>It only takes one hour by train to go to Lille from <em>Paris<\/em>, <em>Brussels<\/em>, or <em>London<\/em>. Flying to <strong>Paris Charles De Gaulle<\/strong> is a very convenient solution, since there is a train station located directly in the airport (then, one hour trip to Lille city center). Be aware that the airport has several terminals, so it may take a while to go from where you land to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.parisaeroport.fr\/en\/passengers\/access\/paris-charles-de-gaulle\/train\">train station<\/a>, located in terminal 2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"tab-19783\" class=\"sp-tab__tab-pane \" role=\"tabpanel\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"sp-tab-content\"><p>We recommend staying in the city center, for easier access to city sights, restaurants and pubs. Ideal locations would be close to the M1 subway stops \"R\u00e9publique\", \"Rihour\", or \"Gambetta\". You can reach the conference site in 20-30 minutes from there.<\/p>\n<p>Conference participants are entitled to a preferential rate at the Holiday Inn Express (109\u20ac, breakfast included), located close to \"R\u00e9publique\". Some competitions will be organized in Lille. Note that as we get closer to the Olympics period some prices will increase very significantly, in particular regarding:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Public transportation: no increase in Lille. In Paris, 5\u20ac per ticket, starting July 20.<\/li>\n<li>Accommodation: in Lille, hotels currently plan for increased prices starting July 25 (at least twice the usual price).<\/li>\n<li>Flights and trains.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Based on the information we have, this should have limited impact for the conference participants.
