An open discussion between a panel (consisting of industrial and academic experts) and the audience of RT-Cloud, OSPERT, and RT-AutoSec will take place at 16:20 on 9th July. The discussion will focus on RT-cloud/edge use cases, including the following:
- Open research questions in
- designing a virtual real-time stack
- operating systems, kernels, hypervisors, execution environments
- orchestrators
- security
- networks,
- meeting end-to-end guarantees, etc.
- Open-source and proprietary hardware/software solutions
(and how to avoid tying yourself to proprietary solutions) - Building a community. How to organize attractive events and secure funding
- Use cases, both short-term and long-term
