Call for Papers ============================================================== 5th Intl WORKSHOP ON WORST-CASE EXECUTION TIME (WCET) ANALYSIS ============================================================== Palma de Mallorca, Spain, July 5, 2005 in conjunction with the 17th Euromicro Intl Conference on Real-Time Systems. Palma de Mallorca, Spain, July 6 - 8, 2005 http://www.cs.york.ac.uk/rts/ECRTS05/index.php The Euromicro Technical Committee organizes a number of satellite events attached to its 17th International Real-Time Systems Conference. This workshop is the fifth on the series of WCET workshops that started at the 2001 Euromicro conference. The goal of the workshop is to bring together people from academia, tool vendors and users in industry that are interested in all aspects of timing analysis for real-time systems. The workshop will provide a relaxed forum to present and discuss new ideas, new research directions, and to review current trends in this area. The workshop will be based on short presentations that should encourage discussion by the attendees. The topics of the workshop include any issue related to timing analysis, in particular: - Different approaches at computing WCET - Flow analysis for WCET - Low-level timing analysis, modelling and analysis of processor features - Calculation methods for WCET - Strategies to reduce the complexity of WCET analysis - Integration of WCET and schedulability analysis - Performance estimation of distributed and communication-centric systems - Evaluation and case studies - Tools for timing analysis - Design for Timing Predictability - Integration of WCET analysis into the development process Statements which are innovative, controversial, or that present new approaches are specially sought. SUBMISSION OF PAPERS: -------------------- People who would like to participate in this event are asked to submit a 4 page short paper to the workshop chair (wilhelm@cs.uni-sb.de). Upon acceptance, a corrected version of the paper should be prepared and submitted. All papers will be made available to all participants a week before the workshop so that contributions can be examined prior to the workshop. The workshop sessions will involve 15 minute presentations followed by a 20 minute discussion per-session. Authors will be asked to produce a final version of their paper that includes the issues covered in the discussions by September 1, 2005. The final papers will be published. To foster the workshop character the number of participants will be limited to 30. There will be a small charge for workshop registration. The workshop will be held in Palma de Mallorca (more details will come later).
